Ok, so, I am new to digi scrappin, I have snagged some freebies online from some incredible designers. I am interested in figuring out how to create my own elements and kits. If anyone is interested in helping me get started I am open to any and all wisdom you can offer. I guess we all started somewhere right? I have Adobe Photoshop Elements 6, Adobe Photoshop 7, and Adobe Illustrator 10. My mom recently passed away due to Breast Cancer, she was an artist and had Photoshop and Illustrator on her computer. I would love to learn how to use them to create scrap kits in her memory, and of course for my kids. I wish I would have learned of this digi world before she passed, she would have been so good at this!! Up till now I had only used PSE to do all of my photo editing, so I am not familiar with the things these programs can do. I realize this may be more then anyone wants to take on, so if willing, please help, If not, I understand and Thanks for the visit anyway! I am a firm believer in the quotes "What comes around, goes around". and "Everything happens for a reason".

  1. Hi there

Thanks for your message on my blog.

I use both Paintshop Pro and Photoshop but mainly use PSP for most of my scrap making and Photoshop for a very small amount of scrap making, as I'm so used to it so I can't really give you any helpful hints with Photoshop but I can refer you to some good tutorial sites which I have listed below.

    http://www.just-believe2.net/tutorials/

If you used PSP I would have directed you to my tutorial site where I have several tuts on how to create elements.

I'm sure you'll find the links very useful as they are all for Photoshop.

Another good site to visit is http://scrap-stuff-with-psp.blogspot.com/ though it's mainly for PSP she does have some tuts on Photoshop.

If you need any more guidance or help please do drop by and let me know.

    Kind regards
    Marie

  3. Hi Michelle,

I just wanted to welcome you to the digiscrap world. I haven't been around too long myself. I will warn you though that it's highly addictive. LOL Wish I could help you but I use DIP but I have PSP9 but have yet to learn to use it. DIP is so easy that I can't give it up. I just started trying to design a little bit. I have a long ways to go. It is fun though. There are so many tutorials that can help you. That's what I did when I first started. Also, join some scrapbooking groups. That has helped me a lot, too. If I can help in any way just let me know. Not that I know that much. LOL
